River Chet restrictions

We have received notice from the Broads Authority that dredging and maintenance operations on the River Chet may restrict passage during weekdays from Monday 13 November 2017 until Friday 23 March 2018.

During this period piling and dredging work will be in operation between 08:00 and 16:00 daily, excluding weekends. During each period of operation navigation will be restricted and delays of up to 2 hours may occur. Mariners must await clear instructions from the operators before attempting to pass and exercise great care whilst proceeding past the works. All equipment will be lit and signage will be in place to warn of restriction and delays.

We are advised that the initial work will be near the mouth of the river removing the steel posts, with later dredging and maintenance focussed on the area alongside Hardley Flood.  Passing the works may be more difficult at low water.
