Broadland Youth Regatta 2019
Hickling Broad Sailing Club is hosting the BYR on Saturday 31 August 2019, at Hickling Broad. The regatta is open to any youth or junior member of an NSBA affiliated club or organisation, who is under 19 years of age on the day of the event. The regatta is free to enter. We will be using a new team scoring system this year, and Sailwave. Each team’s best scores will be used. The number of boats to be included in the teams score, X, will be decided after the entries are received, in the week before the event. Teams with more boats than X will have the less successful sailor’s results discarded, and teams with fewer than X boats will have all their results count. There are good reasons to send your largest team, in line with the ethos of the Youth Regatta! A full explanation will be given in the Sailing Instructions.
HSBC will be forwarding the Notice of Race and entry forms to your club secretary and they will also be available on www.hicklingbroad.com. All completed Entry Forms, should be emailed to byr@hicklingbroad.com by Friday 23 August please.
This year NSBA will be introducing free Cadet membership for all sailors participating in the Youth Regatta. More details to follow.
